BKM Mutfak Atölye
BKM Mutfak Atölye, founded under the general art directorship of the famous artist Yılmaz Erdoğan, is an art school that combines the traditional master-apprentice relationship in the field of theater with a modern academic curriculum. Located in the İzmir Culture and Arts Factory, BKM Mutfak Atölye offers programs for participants of all ages who wish to develop their social and professional skills, discover new passions or specialize in their field.
İzmir State Turkic World Dance and Music Ensemble
The İzmir State Turkic World Dance and Music Ensemble aims to promote the music and dances of the Turkish world at home and abroad, and meets its audience with numerous performances throughout the year. The ensemble continues its work under the art directorship of Şavk Eryürek in its assigned building in the İzmir Culture and Arts Factory and meets its audience with educational concerts for children, museum performances, dance performances and open space concerts.
Art Workshops
The İzmir Culture and Arts Factory aims to bring visitors of all ages into contact with art and culture, and organizes many interesting events in its art workshops, which are located right next to the İzmir Painting and Sculpture Museum. The workshops combine various art disciplines, from plastic to fine arts, and organize high-quality thematic works for children and young people, where they can acquire new skills and hobbies.
Art Street
In the center between the İzmir Painting and Sculpture Museum and the Library, an Art Street has been established where visitors can enjoy the historical atmosphere of the buildings. The Art Street, surrounded by works of art exhibited in the open air and among the finest examples of their field, supports the mission of the İzmir Culture and Arts Factory to bring together the citizens of the city with culture and art in all fields.
Recreation Area
The İzmir Culture and Arts Factory provides a new green space for İzmir residents and local and foreign tourists visiting İzmir to breathe with its 9,200 m² recreational area. It combines the rich historical heritage and cultural diversity of İzmir with various artistic activities and there are special areas for outdoor activities as well as walking and activity areas. Open-air cinema screenings are planned in the recreation area.
Food & Beverage Areas
In the İzmir Culture and Arts Factory, there are social areas where visitors can spend a pleasant time. The food and beverage areas around the library and the activity areas provide visitors with the opportunity to meet their needs. The building, which served as a cafeteria during the time when the factory was active, was also prepared for the continuation of the café function after the restoration works.
